A recent trip to London to study terrace housing coincided with the opening of the ‘The Shard’ – Renzo Piano’s latest tower and the European Union’s tallest building. While the design and form of the building was disappointing, the viewing deck (at 245m high) did afford a great 360 degree view of the London skyline.
While in New York at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair I took the opportunity to visit some of the great buildings and urban-scapes within Manhattan.
